plus+plus is a dynamic design duo based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, consists of architectural designer Wong Jia Min and Lee Chaer Shean.
The name ‘plus’ not only comes from their common character in their names ‘jia’, but also reflects their common interest in multiple design disciplines including architecture and place-making; where using architecture as a medium to create positive additions to the urban context. They believe small additions could collectively bring large impacts.

Wong Jia Min graduated from Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London in 2020. She is a Graduate Architect with professional experience spanning Malaysia and Singapore. Her interest lies in place-making and celebrating cultural diversity. She enjoys designing in intricate details that is inspired by human activities. She researched on the sense of belonging among Malaysian and the complexity of Malaysian identity.

Lee Chaer Shean completed her master’s degree in Architecture at the University of Portsmouth. Her final year project was chosen for the RIBA Presidents Medals 2020. In her professional career, she has worked for two architecture firms, one located in Penang and the other in Kuala Lumpur, where her primary focus has been on researching heritaSge and conservation architecture. Moreover, she actively participated in and achieved success in several architectural design competitions during her professional journey.
